Out of the 40 footballers taking part, it ended with a very close finish and 1 point separating each of the 4 leading individuals. Matt Le-Tissier who has strived for 5 year's to lift this title, just pipped Pat Jennings, the 2004 winner by 1 point over the 3 rounds of the competition. His acceptance speech after receiving his first Green Jacket was very amusing.
The 4 leading footballers were:

In the team event it was another close finish, only separated again by 1 point. A new team "The Goodies" with Alan Lindsay off 2, Mark Seagraves off 8 and Claire Fensome off 8 had a 6 point lead going into the final round but nerves obviously got the better of them and they just managed to hang on and pip "The Property Boys" 2nd, for the 4th year running by just 1 point.
Alan Lindsay was very gracious in his teams acceptance speech and expressed his absolute delight in being involved in such a fabulous event, organised to such a high standard. He thanked everyone concerned and promised to return next year to defend the title.
